Radio Dispatcher – Sheriff

Position Overview

The Radio Dispatcher coordinates communications between deputies, courts, and other public safety agencies. This position ensures efficient dispatch of personnel and maintains critical communication during daily operations and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and transmit radio communications to deputies in the field.
• Dispatch units to service requests and operational assignments.
• Maintain logs of calls, assignments, and incidents.
• Monitor radio channels and ensure communication protocols are followed.
• Coordinate with other law enforcement and emergency agencies.
• Provide information and assistance to deputies during field operations.
• Maintain situational awareness during emergency incidents.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in emergency communications or dispatch preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a high-stress environment.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
