Social Worker

Position Overview

The Social Worker supports individuals involved in the civil justice system by connecting them to social services, crisis intervention resources, and community support programs. This position works closely with deputies, courts, and community organizations to address underlying social needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and support services during civil enforcement activities.
• Connect individuals and families to housing, mental health, and social services.
• Conduct needs assessments and develop referral plans.
• Work collaboratively with deputies to reduce conflict during evictions and court enforcement actions.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and referrals.
• Develop relationships with community service providers and nonprofit partners.
• Assist with outreach programs that improve community relations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred.
• Maryland social work license or eligibility preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention, community services, or case management.
• Ability to work effectively in stressful or sensitive situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
